Brote epidémico de tinea capitis por trichophyton tonsurans

Abstract

An epidemy of tinea capitis which ocurred in a local orphanage is presented. In four out of five instances an antropophilic dermatophyte: Trichophyton tonsurans was isolated as the etiologic agent. T. mentogrophytes, was identified in the remaining case.
