Abstract

The present work, clearly shows, that the technique of Kudoh which consist of a swab that has been impregnated in sputum and then decontaminated by the introduction 0f the swab in NaOH 4% for 1 to 2 minutes and directly inoculated in Ogawa medium, modified by Kudoh, give results similars to those obtained by Petroff's method using Lowenstein-Jensen as media.
